CHANGE ID NEEDED

change.jpg

Need change? be different#my common sense

This is an inspiration that came to me, as I was arguing with one of my senior brother, he said that someone is "above the law".hmmm You can imagine that..... When I opposed the statement, saying that no one is above the law, if not for the creator. that according to my teacher and other things no one is above the law (the law is a respecter of no one) You can imagine who he presented to be his evidence that someone is above the law, (FORMAL PRESIDENT OLUSEGUN OBASANJO) that he can do anything he wants , in this country, I was very surprise to hear someone like him say such, the "formal president" has the right to change things, he said, to the right sense no one is above the law, yes he maybe an influential and powerful man, but that does not make him to be above the law.i replied. He said many things that prove that the "formal president" is above the law here in Nigeria. I now said okay, because we all know that the reason why, someone is said to be "above the law" is as the result of the high level of CORRUPTION in Nigeria, but what now made me angry is that he said that it can never change.and that his aim is also to be like that. I now gave it to him. How can Nigeria get better when people like you with this kind of MINDSET want to be in the top.ok assuming you get your way to the top this is what you will do and encourage others to do.now how is naija getting better? .

to you my readers

If you don't have a different and positive mindset about a particular thing you can't change that, the way others think must be different from yours. when a particular place or thing is to be changed or need change, (to positive or negative) and all, has one mindset about that thing or place there can never be a change, because someone needs to bring out new idea to be followed.that is change! So Nigerians lets go with New mindset to change our country for the best. lets adapt to and support positive things LETS KNOW YOUR OPINION for good and real traffics, upto 10, 000 visitors to your blog/site click to claim your visitors

A man entered the restaurant and ate as he could, got a toothpick and was relaxing when the waiter gave him the bill he laughed and pointed to the signboard, don't you see, "only my grandchildren will pay" The waiter replied, "This is not your bill, it's your grandfather's Bill"........the man fainted.... Nigerians agree for currency swap with China to increase naira value

buhari-67.jpg

Nigeria on Tuesday agreed a currency
swap deal with China, officials said,
as it looks for ways to shore up its
ailing currency and fund a record
budget deficit, possibly by issuing
yuan-denominated bonds in China.
The West African nation is facing its
worst economic crisis in decades as
sinking oil prices eat into its foreign
reserves and the naira weakens
against other currencies.
Nigeria has been for months looking
for sources to help plug a projected
2016 deficit of 2.2 trillion naira ($11.1
billion) as President Muhammadu
Buhari plans to triple capital
spending.
During Buhari's visit to Beijing, the
Industrial and Commercial Bank of
China Ltd (ICBC), the world's biggest
lender, and Nigeria's central bank
signed a deal on yuan transactions.
"It means that the renminbi (yuan) is
free to flow among different banks in
Nigeria, and the renminbi has been
included in the foreign exchange
reserves of Nigeria," Lin Songtian,
director general of the African affairs
department of China's foreign ministry,
told reporters.
The agreement was reached following
a meeting between Buhari and Chinese
President Xi Jinping.
The move comes after Finance
Minister Kemi Adeosun said on
Saturday that Nigeria was looking at
panda bonds - yuan-denominated
bonds sold by overseas entities on the
mainland -saying they that would be
cheaper than Eurobonds.
Nigeria's central bank has said it
plans to diversify its foreign exchange
reserves away from the dollar by
switching a stockpile into yuan. It
converted up to a tenth of its reserves
into yuan five years .source:STV

FUNNY: some clauses we Nigerians use that can leave one laughing and crying at same time

Nigerians find a way of inducing humor into everything they say. It is intriguing to know that every sentence is laced with humor. One could feel the sarcasm in their speech; that’s why serious statements become not that serious, more attractive and bring a smile to one’s face. Of course, we understand ourselves and still get the major points in the statements. Here are some typical phrases that reveal the true colorful nature of our nation: 1. Come and be going Example: It haf do, come and be going. Like seriously? How can you say come and be going at the same time? Nigerians say this when they want a person to leave. 2. I ‘kuma’ went there Example: “They didn’t return the money, I kuma went there o.” Only God knows when this became an English word. Nigerians say it when they mean conclusively or eventually. It depicts the final turn out of things. 3. I have ‘sha’ said my own Example: “If you like answer, I have sha said my own.” When you hear this, the speaker means his or her opinion has been stated firmly. In addition to this, the speaker becomes unbothered about the change of event. 4. I’m coming Example: “Just wait here, I’m coming.” How could you say you are coming when you are actually leaving the place? Most people say this when they ought to say ‘I’ll be right back.’ This contradicting clause is hilarious. 5. I cannot come and kill myself I cannot come and kill myself Example: “I’ve called and called them, I cannot come and kill myself.” This reflects their attitude when being frustrated. It is a typical Nigerian’s way of accepting defeat. 6. Falling my hand What? Example: “You just keep falling my hand, it is so annoying” Nigerians say this when they are disappointed in someone. Pay no attention to the falling hand. It would not drop. 7. Copy copy Example: “You went to buy the cloth too, copy copy” This expression is used when the person referred to like doing things other people have done. This means the person lacks originality. 8. Follow follow Example: “Must you go with them? Follow follow” People in Nigeria say this when they mean someone is easily influenced. 9. Waka waka Example: “Waka waka, don’t you ever get tired?” This is Nigerian’s way of referring to someone who is restless. People who move from one place to the other are often called this. 10. Shaky shaky Example: Don’t get there and be doing shaky shaky o This is used when talking about someone who lacks courage. 11. Dey der You didn’t know, dey der Example: “I have taken my own now, dey der.” People often say this when showing their smartness in a situation. This expression suggests that the other person is not moving at the expected pace. 12. How far? Example: “How far?” Please make no mistake of thinking you are being asked for the distance of a place. This is our way of saying hello or what is happening. 13. He has arrived Example: “I cannot believe the guy has arrived” You could get lost in a conversation upon hearing this. The person who is being discussed might not have gone anywhere. We say this when we mean luck has finally smiled on a person. 14. Cast Example: “And I was here waiting for you, you just cast me” No one is talking about fishing or news casting. The speaker probably meant he wasted time thinking the situation was what he thought it would have been. It means he was not involved in the decision making. 15. See me see trouble See me see trouble o Example: “On top 50 naira change, see me see trouble o” This simply means unbelievable. But of course, trust Nigerians to be so dramatic about everything.source naij

speak against fulani herdsmen, Mimiko tells president Buhari

The governor said if the government fails to act, the country may be heading toward a precipice – Mimiko prevailed on members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) to shun their planned reprisal on herdsmen -He said that urgent actions are not taken, people may resort to self help Ondo state governor, Olusegun Mimiko Following the killing of a security guard attached to the farm of the former presidential candidate Chief Olu Falae, in Akure by Fulani herdsmen, Ondo state governor, Olusegun Mimiko, has said the Federal Government must stop the incessant killings of people, particularly farmers, by Fulani herdsmen. The OPC members had threatened a reprisal attack on Fulani herdsmen as the late Ayodele Ige was the OPC coordinator in Akure North Local Government. According to Nation newspaper, Mimiko prevailed on members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) to shun their planned reprisal on herdsmen in the interest of peaceful and harmonious co-existence. The governor said if the government fails to act, the country may be heading toward a precipice noting that urgent actions are not taken, people may resort to self help. “We are moving towards the precipice and the earlier we pull back the better for us all. All major stakeholders must come together on how to resolve this issue. “These herdsmen must be called to order. These wanton destructions, audacious incursions on other people’s territory cannot continue for too long. We must be concerned as a nation that this is a menace that poses a threat to us as nation. “I am again appealing to Mr President and all the major stakeholders to let’s sort out this. “For me, I see the grazing reserves aggravating the problem, though I’ve not read the law but I don’t see how that law can find comfort with the land use act. The control of land is vested in the governor, I can’t see any federal law that will compulsorily acquire any land from any state, in my state, for example, it cannot work. “The owners of these cattle, according to the information at my disposal, are well to do people, they are elite. If cattle rearing is a commercial venture, why should they not contribute to set up the ranches? After all, they don’t sell these cattle for free. “We have been talking about diversification and agriculture is the main focus but in my state there’s hardly any medium scale or large scale farmers that has not had any encounter or the other with the herdsmen. “I think if we don’t do anything about the activities of these herdsmen, I can see a threat to the security of this country so it’s a major challenge and I think the President and all major stakeholders should take this as a very serious challenge.” OPC State Coordinator Pius Ogunsanya said members would go ahead with their planned reprisal, if security operatives fail to apprehend the killers.source:naijnews

Hausa fulani herdsmen killed by miscreants

Governors of Imo and Abia states blame miscreants for death of Hausa- Fulani herdsmen – The pair meet to hold joint security meeting – Vow to fish out perpetrators, to keep ensuring security of lives and properties Facts have emerged on how miscreants killed the five Hausa- Fulani herdsmen who reportedly died in a forest along the borders of Imo and Abia states. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), this revelation was made by Governors Rochas Okorocha and Okezie Ipkeazu of Imo and Abia states respectively when they held a joint security council meeting in Umuahia, the Abia state capital on Monday, April 11. In his argument, Okorocha stated that the miscreants were not out to attack any ethnic group as two Igbos lost their lives in the attack as well. This clarification by the governors came on the heels of the security operatives’ discovery of a mass grave where Hausa-Fulani residents abducted and murdered by suspected members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) were buried in Abia State. Ikpeazu on his part, believes that kidnapping had become a recurring decimal in the area, adding “We condemn the killings as it concerns the five Fulani men that were abducted and assassinated in a forest. “And we are all united in the fact that the particular forest and such other forests will be rid of criminals that use them as hideouts.” Speaking further, he said: “It is our responsibility to protect lives and property of people that reside in Abia, as security agencies of both states have been mandated to cross the borders of both states to hunt down criminals.” Okorocha also vowed to deal with the culprits of the killings, saying: “On the issue of the killing of five Fulani men that has caused tension, the culprits have been arrested and will be dealt with under the law as well as made to pay the ultimate price. “Information reaching us reveal that it is not just five Fulani men as there are two corpses believed to be Igbos from the area, so it is not a direct attack on any ethnic group.” Meanwhile, a group under the aegis of the Conference of Minority Tribes of Nigeria (CMTN) on Monday, April 11, called on the Nigerian government to hold all leaders of IPOB responsible for killings of Hausa-Fulani in Abia state. Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, the secretary general of the group, Samson Babalola said the killings of five northern Nigerians as alleged by the Department of State Services (DSS), is a crime against humanity. Describing the killings as a ‘blow below the belt’ incident threatening the cordial relationship between ethnic nationals in Nigeria, Babalola said the group is set to drag the leadership of the IPOB to the International Criminal Court (ICC) over the alleged killings by the group.source:naij news.

fuel crisis:federal government releases fuel to independent marketers

The federal government has began the release of petrol to Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) – IPMAN said the release of petrol to the members was part of efforts to settle the 7,000 pending loading tickets of IPMAN Fuel queues to disappear soon? The lingering fuel scarcity that has lasted over a month seems to be over as the federal government has commenced the release of petrol to Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN). According to a press release issued by the organization’s secretary, Lawson Ngoa, IPMAN said the release of petrol to the members was part of efforts to settle the 7,000 pending loading tickets of IPMAN. He revealed that IPMAN controlled over 80 per cent of the petroleum products’ retail outlets in the country and that members were not getting products from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) due to internal leadership crisis since last two years but said members have started loading the products from some depots in Lagos as a result of the efforts of the Committee. Ngoa said the Committee had taken steps to ensure that products were available all over the country. He thanked Nigerians for the patience and understanding during difficult period and assured that with the support of the minister of petroleum resources and his team, the scarcity would soon be over. Meanwhile more than 400 illegal refineries have been destroyed by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the past three months. This comes amidst fuel scarcity and the inability of the country to refine enough crude for local consumption. Also, Occupy Nigeria Group has announced that the will be a peaceful and peoples organized protest in the city of Port Harcourt next week Thursday April 14. This protest which the group is said is aimed at driving a strong citizenship position against the inability of the Federal government to address the burning perennial fuel scarcity, zero Megawatts and total lack of electricity amidst increased tariff, incessant/fraudulent bank charges on poor Nigerians among other serious economic matters.source:naij news

Falana set sue president Buhari over China's loan

Falana has told the FG not to obtain $2bn loan from China – He said the loan will further plunge the nation into more indebtedness Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun Human right lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, has said he will sue the Buhari led federal government should the government obtain $2bn loan from China. Mr Falana said the move “plunging the nation into more indebtedness suggesting that the government should intensify efforts to recover some funds totaling about $200bn which were either not remitted to the Federation Account or stolen from the nation’s treasury. He warned against increasing the nation’s external debt of $64bn asking the government to jettison its plan to take a loan of $2.5bn from the World Bank and $1bn from the African Development Bank. In a letter addressed to the minister of finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, the popular lawyer said: “In the light of the foregoing, we are compelled to call on the Federal Government to muster the political will and courage to recover the aforesaid withheld or stolen wealth of not less than $200bn belonging to the Nigerian people. “However, if you refuse to accede to our request we shall have no alternative than to initiate legal proceedings at the Federal High Court with a view to restraining the Federal Government from further plunging the nation into external indebtedness.” “In particular, we requested the Federal Government to embark on the recovery of the revenue of $42bn withheld from the Federation Account from 1999 to 2012 by some transnational oil companies, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and other agencies of the Federal Government. “In your reply dated March 17, 2016 you assured us that the issues raised in our letter were receiving the attention of the Federal Government. “We were therefore surprised to learn that the Administration had applied to the Chinese Government for another loan of $2bn. “In urging the Federal Government to desist from taking the loan of $2bn from China or any other country we are compelled to advise the Federal Government to intensify efforts to recover the nation’s wealth which has been criminally diverted by a handful of local and foreign looters,” Falana said in the letter.source:naij news

president Buhari leaves Abuja for China

President Muhammadu Buhari has departed Abuja for China on an official visit on April 10, Sunday. Buhari is set to spend four days on a state visit to the Peoples’ Republic of China from April 11 to 15 to strengthen diplomatic relations between China and Nigeria. Nigeria’s president, speaking to Xinhua, Chinese news agency, prior to his trip, said the country cannot afford to lose the enormous potential in China- Nigeria economic and trade co-operation On trade and economic ties, Buhari added that his government remains committed to contracts signed by Goodluck Jonathan, his predecessor, with Chinese firms on railway, roads and hydroelectric dam projects. He said: “ China has the technical and financial capacity and the experience of development while retaining the goodwill to help Nigeria. So, really, this is an opportunity Nigeria cannot afford to lose. “In spite of being the largest economy in Africa, Nigeria is still badly in need of these projects, which China, as the world’s second-largest economy, has the capacity to undertake.” The Nigerian leader would be the first African head of state to visit China after the Forum on China- Africa Cooperation Johannesburg Summit, which is of great importance to both China-Nigeria and China-Africa relations, and draws great attention from both countries and Africa. source:naij news

Control them, Never let them control you.

There are two major things I have noticed that we need to be in full time control of in our life, and I have also noticed that people let these things control them instead of them being in control. Taking charge of these two things we definitely determine were we are heading to in future .these two things are so powerful that if you don't understand them they can make your life miserable, and also you understand these two powerful things, that means success for you.

YOUR MIND

brain-head.jpeg

No1. Your mindYes! this is actually the very first thing one must fully be in super control of in life to ensure success, when you are in control of your mind, you have the power to make and follow changes at any point in time in your life. like I have said before in one of my posts that we are like a factory and our mind is like an engine room were the energy (ideas) is supplied. A particular book I read told me that all the good and luxury things we see are all ideas from the mind, before all this beautiful cars we see today came to reality, they have already be designed in the mind, so you see how powerful your mind can be?

how to control your mind

Let me explain to you how you can control your mind, controlling your mind is the same as setting a positive mind set, sometimes in once life, you may want to do something in life with a particular motive, but along the line you notice that your motive is not positive, if you are in control of your mind you should be able to make a change of mind,
mind.jpeg

because you are in control. And also when you make plans and plan A fails, you should be able to put on a plan B, be fast to make a change or follow changes.don't let your mind control you control your mind.

money:

dollar-hands.jpeg
No2 money is very powerful, what the missunderstanding of money can do to one can not be over stated. but let me remind you that if you go after money with a negative mindset, I bet you, you can't ever make success, because the money will actually be playing with you, you don't know her [money]
money.jpeg

and she will not know you. so until you learn to understand how money works, untill then you will not be able to make money. All you need to do is set good strategy with a positive mind set

conclusion

please your mind is part of your body and not you [your whole person] so if you can't be in control of your mind, work with your mind.
money is good, but it's like drugs miss use it or misunderstand the prescriptions (the way money works)and your name is sorry. think oh

your opinion is highly needed / THINK POSITIVE LIVE POSITIVE

Osinbajo, Ambode offers solution to the country's economic problem

The vice president Yemi
Osinbajo and Governor
Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos
state have identified measures to
solve the economic challenges
in the country.
Rendering the first keynote at the
maiden edition of National Forum
on Economy organised by
Vintage Press Limited,
publishers of The Nation
Newspapers, Osinbajo blamed
the nation’s economic
challenges on oil dependence
and corruption, adding that the
time has come for Nigeria to
look beyond oil and celebrate
integrity over corruption.
Speaking at the event held at
Lagos Airport Hotel on Thursday,
April 7, Osinbajo said: “It is
pathetic that a nation with over
170 million people benchmarked
its budget on the price of oil. We
must look beyond oil because it
disturbs us from looking to other
sector. In order to move the
country forward, we must reduce
the FG and state dependence on
sharing revenue made from oil
sales.
“The foundation for a strong
economy demands that we have
appropriate fiscal policies that
will help the country that is
arising from a very low rate of
VAT and a low taxpayer’s base.
We are focusing on increasing
the country’s tax-payers base.
We are committed to expanding
the tax net.
“At the federal level, the
implementation of the country’s
2016 budget will stimulate the
economy rather than impose
undue austerity on the citizens.
For instance, 30% of the
country’s budget has been
earmarked for capital
expenditure.
“Non-oil sources comprising
company income tax, VAT and
others are expected to contribute
N1.5 trillion which is more than
the estimated revenue from oil.
This is unprecedented in the
history of the country.
“Rather than extract and
exporting, the country must take
full advantage of the oil sector
and entire value chain.”
He said the governments this
year will focus on key areas
such as oil and gas Agriculture,
social investment among others
to tackle the situation.
Osinbajo added that government
would soon commence work on
the Lagos-Kano and Lagos-
Calabar rail routes, as well as 31
major road projects across the
country, just as he stressed the
commitment of the current
administration to give a quantum
leap to infrastructural
development.
Governor Ambode in his remark
said the nation’s economy was
at a critical threshold and thus
urged leaders to think outside the
box to come up with creative
innovations that will trigger
economic growth nationwide.
According to him, the previous
governments at the federal level
failed to take advantage of the oil
boom to grow other sectors of
the economy, adding that the fall
in price in the international oil
market coupled with many years
of corruption has made the
economy vulnerable.
He said: “It is very unfortunate
that we wasted the golden
opportunity to deploy the trillions
of dollars earned from our oil
exports to develop the critical
sectors of the economy including
power, agriculture, industries,
solid minerals, transportation
infrastructure among others. No
doubt, if we had done the right
thing as some other oil
producing countries did, keeping
in mind that crude oil is a finite
resource, we would not be
experiencing the devastating
effect of oil price crash on the
scale we are experiencing it
now.
“We are now being forced to do,
with pains, what we should have
done with ease years ago. The
task of charting a new direction
for the economy is not going to
be a tea party. Various policy
options must be identified and
assessed on the basis of our
current situation and needs.
Moving our economy forward
requires thinking outside the box
and doing things differently. We
need creativity, innovation and
the courage to take difficult and
tough decisions.
“The leadership of the country at
national and state levels must
have the courage to take tough
decisions and make sacrifices in
the near term which will, in the
long run, make our economy
stronger and sustainable and,
consequently result in prosperity
across all regions of Nigeria.”
Vice President Osinbajo and
other dignitaries at the opening
of The Nation’s Economic Forum
held in Lagos on Thursday.
Solomon Adeola
Recommending strategies to
improve the economy, Governor
Ambode said: “Prior to the oil
boom era, Agriculture was the
mainstay of Nigeria’s economy
and contributed about 65% to the
country’s GDP and represented
close to 70% of total exports.
Through farming, Nigeria was
able to feed its population while
major cash crops were exported
to earn foreign exchange.
“From the cocoa and rubber
plantations in the West, the
groundnut pyramids and cotton in
the north, to palm oil in the east;
each region was identified by its
economic areas of comparative
advantage which were
collectively harnessed towards
ensuring food security and
inclusive growth across the
country.
“Given our current economic
challenge, I believe it is time we
take a cue from our old
‘playbook’ for a viable ‘game
plan’ to revive our national
economy. States and regions
must once again begin to
leverage on their respective
areas of comparative advantage
by establishing partnerships
towards establishing inter-State
or inter-regional commodity
value chain. We must re-start
inter-state/regional
cooperation.”
Meanwhile, Vice president
Osinbajo has suggested that

You need to work on this to be successful

timeclock.jpg

This is a very powerful and important factor of success, even God himself works with it,
this is something every successful man or woman considered important, something that is irreversible, something no scientists has been able to bring back when gone, something that can be used to measure your usefulness, and some many more
it's nothing but "time" (time management) this is one important factor that shouldn't be neglected by anyone if you truly want success.
when you manage your time well it can even determine your tomorrow.
"success comes to he who dose [today] what others will be doing tomorrow"

time-clock-2.jpg

hmm to those who love waiting for tomorrow (delay) , don't forget the saying that says if a duty came a knocking on your gate welcome it, because if it gose it will comeback with seven others, another says that it will take you lesser time explaining why you didn't do the right thing at the right time than the Time to explaine why you didn't do it then. so please let's try to

time-times.jpg

put into action any idea that come our way at the right time, remenber that the time you may want to use for that your tomorrow would have been use for doing some other things that will benefit you. those that wait for the proper time, the time will surely pass them by. the issue of time management can't be over stated, you see students of the same department /class, thought by one teacher and the end make different grades because of their time management is different, what ever you are doing just do it for the best, time is one thing that works with nature, have you ever seen an old man or woman becoming young again? definitely the answer will be No, this should cover it, do it now delay they say is dangerous, time they say is money and success.

THINK POSITIVE LIVE POSITIVE more is to come on this topic, your opinion is highly needed.

Ay the comedian advises people to stop hating success

fb-ay2.jpgfb-ay-1.jpgAY Comedian took to his IG page to advise people who hate on successful people. Read: Why is that some people around you just think you don't deserve most of the things that God has blessed you with? Why do they always look at things at the surface level? How come its always so easy for them to say you are not worthy of your fame, your popularity, your friends, your career, and other good things of life? Why can't they just pay attention to the hardwork you had put in behind the scenes — your sacrifices, your worries, your fears and the pains you’d gone through? When are they going to stop seeing life as some kind of unnecessary competition? When and how would haters deal with their feelings of inadequacy and inferiority? #OnlyGodcanjudge
