Unity bank sacks staffs ... see reason

Unity Bank Plc, yesterday sacked not less than 215 of its employees as part of its reengineering strategy for greater performance. According to information gathered from sources close to the bank, the workers were sacked for their inability to cope with the new ideas and strategy of the institution.

The bank is said to have made significant strides in its repositioning drive with the attraction of specialist skills to its workforce since the relocation of its head office from Abuja to Lagos in sync with its plan to grow market share in viable clusters of the retail market.

A source close to the bank said the new focus of the bank’s business has led to significant enhancement of human capital in its various business units. This is with a view to injecting fresh ideas, initiatives and energies to strengthen the various departments of the bank with capabilities to pursue the attainment of strategic business focus in the Agricultural financing, retail/SMEs and development of rural economy.

According to the source ” About 200 new hires were said to have been recruited by the Bank to drive the transformation initiative began by the Management in the last one year while about 100 other staff were said to have been promoted recently. Meanwhile, some members of staff numbering about 215 have been allowed to go in an exercise that will enable the Bank realign its operation to pursue its long term growth strategy. However the affected staff were said to have exercised the option to resign while Management has approved severance package in line with the bank’s policy.”

Commenting on this development, industry source asserted that the exercise carried out by the bank was part of the hard choices that forward-looking organisations desiring optimum performance had to take from time to time to enable it deliver consistently on shareholders expectations.

WITH THESE AND GOOD ENTERPRENIURESHIP SKILLS YOU ARE GOOD TO GO

If you truly want to be successful there is one particular thing(not all but one of)the things you need to find. That thing is part of your body and you must work with it to ensure success in life, without being in control of this factor in you, it means total failure. That thing is no other but your "mind" I have talked about it many times in my blog, I love doing so, and am still on learning how it works(the mind) but actually it's not my main thing here but it leads me to it(and you need it to work on my topic)which is .IF YOU WANT SUCCESS YOU WILL HAVE TO THINK YOUR WAY OUT, So if you are not in control of your mind forget it you can't. Now do you know you can think yourself in or out of poverty? Whatever that runs in your mind will determine where you are heading to. Let your heart be always how to succeed. Delete any negative thought in your life right now. Because the more you keep negative thoughts in your mind the more it's making decisions for you.

When you nurture and prepare your mind for success good ideas Starts flowing in. Remember even the Bible says "the way a man thinks so he is" so be careful of what you think everyday.

The thoughts of success brings success while the thoughts of failure brings failure. When you think about things positively you will be determined to handle it positively. See let me tell you some thing, when you put it into your mind that you are not destined for failure, you will do things with the assurance of achieving it. And that is almost what you need.

Your mind is so powerful, but it still needs your help. OK now everyday we hear of one great man or woman, we see their houses, cars etc.

this are all the works of mind, what suprice's me most is some Nigerians that when they hear about the motivating story of a wealthy man or woman, instead to learn from it, they will turn their minds to negative thoughts of "one can never make such success like that" it's a bad one for us we look so much to the negative part of things, which keeps us stationary. Please let's work on our mind and And it's thoughts.

Ok now we are looking for change(Nigeria, in fact the whole world at large) ,but we still have the same mind set we had ten(10)years ago, and we are still at the same level, why not change that which is not working nah! Now this brings me to other sub topic.

CHANGE

.

my brother if the position you are now or level is not your dream or your supposed position or level, you need change but before you get the change, you have to change every thing about you (mostly your mind) it's important ,be different from the person you where known as before.

Then you will see change in your life. Life can not be estimated but old age and all others has their time and when they come that is it, you are done, so what am I saying? Do it now don't keep saying I will, I will,(procrastination- that is one of the most dangerous dream killers)now is the time control your mind, think wise, change the old useless thoughts.

And you will see change because you have already changed. with these and a good entrepreneurship skills you are good to go.

SUMMERY:

Do you know that you can see your future now and predicte it? Yes! It's simple with this proverb"the way you make your bed is the way you lay on it"it means the foundation you lay now for your future determines what your future looks like. Also the things happening around you or within you can also help you in knowing your future,so start now to learn how to progress in things you do(posetively)for time to come.

your opinion is highly needed

I wish all Nigerians a joyous Eid-El-Kabir.....President Muhammadu Buhari

To show how important we are to our President, pre Muhammadu Buhari, he tooktime to give out a good will message to us, promising to do more for the country's growth. Read the messages below

"fellow Compatriots, as you celebrate the Eid-El-Kabir, I salute your steadfastness in spite of the difficult economic times the country is going through.

The lessons of the Eid are piety and, my dear brothers and sisters, you have exhibited these in equal measure. The present recession is as a result of cumulative effects of worldwide economic downturn and failure in the past to plan and save for difficult times. It is impossible to separate the present from the past to appreciate the extent to which mistakes of the past are affecting everyday life today.

I assure you that this administration is working round the clock to remove the hardships the country is going through. Rail and road constructions, projects in the housing sector, support for farmers and for small and medium scale industries, youth and women's empowerment programmes, support for revival of industries are all designed to reinvigorate the economy and enhance living standards of ordinary people.

We are getting security right. We are stopping corruption in its tracks and we will get the economy right by the Grace of God.

I enjoin Muslims to live by the dictates of Islam, to keep good relationships with their Christian brothers and sisters and as patriots to maintain the spirit of the Nigerian nation.

I wish everyone happy holidays. Muhammadu Buhari"

You can still get good traffics from Facebook without ads.. Read to know how

I have really thought about this for sometime now ,after few research ,I decided to share this with my readers, do you know you can still get good traffic from Facebook with out placing an ad? Yes is the answer, but we are going to solve it mathematically

HOW DOES IT WORK ?

The mean reason why I love this, it's not too lengthy to read, understand, and apply. So here is the secret

1st

Search for free ad pages on Facebook, you will see pages that are free to post with likes up to 300+, don't just drop your URL there and wait for someone to visit, yes ,maybe someone may some how give you a click, but know that the visitor is not sure of what he/she is going to see, so if there is any obstacles(network problems) the visitor may just quite trying to visit, but if , you put a little descriptions about your url(your blog,or site, etc) or you can post a link to a particular article in your blog or site (remember to add something about the article) with this you are sure to have many visitors that are coming with Something in their mind, so if your content is good then you are sure of seeing them again.

SECOND.

Facebook group is another means of getting a Facebook add, now many group has at least 3to400+ members , so if you have joined up to 20+.with each group having at least 100 to 150+ active ,so now multiply by 20, that should be (for 100 is that is 2000, for 150 is 3000. Now with this you have an estimated 2 to 3000+ people to share your blog with.

Now when ever you post an article in your blog,( good and useful one, joke, sports, news, entertainment gist,mp3 or mp4 download, motivational and inspirational, entrepreneurship, tech or any empowerment articles etc.) That must catch someone's fancy, then share it immediately after publishing from your site or blog ( if you can't share from your blog or site just copy the url, ) pest it first on your Wall or page(with good description and attracting image,) then my dear reader start sharing to all this groups , at least from this 2000 or 3000 you Get up to 4 to 500 visitors for any good content.

So the more group, and more share the more visitors.
NOTE: not all that like or comment will visit and not all that did not comment or like will not visit.

NOTE also using page will give you more gain, page like and visit and also the reached will also help you estimate. Try it!!! You can still try other networks .

some people really finds it difficult to share, but remember that though you place ad when you add to the ones you have already. For those who don't have enough to place ad, just try this. Also try joining as much social media as possible and also share with them. Also include a share button for your readers ,email sub etc.

FREDDY YOUNG_I can do better than, WizKid,Olamide,Davido

19 year-old Fredrick Alasa, aka Freddy Young, from Edo State, schooling at Zenith University College, Accra, Ghana, has the odds stacked against him but he is determined to make it as a musician because he has got what it takes to make it. In fact he believes he has what it takes to overtake the likes of Wizkid, Olamide or Davido in the nearest future if the odds are stacked a little in his favour. “My plan is to get fully into the industry with a unique sound and a unique style. I play mainly dancehall afro pop but my problem right now is that I don’t have a record label and promoters,”he said, talking about the biggest challenges staring him in the face right now.

“There is a huge competition in the industry now. Some people think you just go to the studio and just record. But for me, I see music as a sound that passes messages to people. So if you do good music you will have good sales. You also need to have a good voice, but generally I think in Nigeria we are doing good with the likes of Wizkids, Davido, and Olamide. Though they are good but I can do a lot better,” he boasted but quickly added that Wizkid is his role model. According to him, it was Iyanya that used to be his number star but said he had to opt for Wizkid because he thought Iyanya lost his touch after the ‘Kukere’ hit.

“Seriously, Iyanya used to be my number one, followed by Wizkid and Don Jazzy but Iyanya seems to have fizzled out after ‘Kukere’ while Wizkid got stronger hit after hit. After he came up with songs like “Don’t dull”, “Holla at your boy” I couldn’t Ignore him. I had to pick him as my number one”, he said. Being the 6th child in a family of 10 children and with no one to give him a good head start is not something the strapping young man sees as an excuse to quit. He is so obsessed with his music that he is ready to quit school to pursue his dream. “Life isn’t easy the way I thought it would be. Apart from my parents, nobody really showed me love except my producer. I am just hustling my music, hoping one day I will get to the top. I am not yet making money but inspiration comes everyday. I don’t record as much as I wish to because I don’t really pay for my songs. I don’t promote them too, so they haven’t gone far. I haven’t shot any video and that’s bad. “I has been difficult financially to promote my songs. I have only one out, “Ileke”and it’s online. Putting songs online is expensive and as a student I don’t have money to do much. Like naijaloaded charges you 25k to put your song on their site. So I just have to do the little I can till maybe I get a label who will take care of that. I am ready to do whatever it takes to follow my dream. I can even quit school to pursue my music because from day one music has been my dream but I can always go to school. I can even school online. Well music is my dream. I don’t mind crawling on the floor for music because I know one day I will get there. I don’t think I will be able to live in this world without music. Music is my thing and I can’t stop believing in it,” he quips.

Freddy Young

has written over 30 songs but has only been able to record just 10.

NNPC stagecraft AND GMDs Ex gratia

American Philosopher, journalist and poet, Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862) a transcendentalist in his book Walden; or, Life in the Woods, Economy published in 1854 wrote ‘’I have lived some thirty years on this planet, and I have yet to hear the first syllable of valuable or even earnest advice from my seniors’’. Would that be the situation of the Group Managing Director, GMD of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC Dr. Maikanti Baru who sought the counsel of former petroleum resources superintendents on the present state of the industry?

Present at the forum was the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and immediate past GMD of NNPC Dr. Ibe Kachikwu represented by his senior technical assistant, Johnson Awoyomi. Others were HRM Dr. Edmund Daukoru; Chief Odoliyi Lolomar; Dr. Thomas MA John; Lawrence Amu; Dr. Jackson Gaius-Obaseki; Funsho Kupolokun; Dr. Abubakar Lawal Yar’Adua and Dr. Joseph Thlama Dawha.

The egg headed petroleum tzars who were posed with problems suggested to NNPC that the PMS cap price of N145 per litre was realistically incongruent with the liberalization policy of government especially with the foreign exchange rate and other price determining components such as crude cost, Nigeria Ports Authority, NPA charges, among others remaining uncapped.

We on the sidelines accepted as true but doubtful of last weekend’s Abuja meeting that rehearsed another drumbeat for petrol price increase. Going through the communiqué was Baru jolted that he got more than a bargain from his former bosses? It was unclear and difficult to understand the NNPC GMD whose office issued the viral statement. Again he had rebuttals after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari. The story and stagecraft were indeed not future perfect.

It appeared translucent the manner the NNPC tested the price increase waters and our eminent petroleum managers becoming crybabies. The former petroleum resources managers became spokespersons of the NNPC, and later out rightly disowned. Were they proxies for importers of our petroleum products? Perhaps the former GMDs under whose respective tenures were comatose refineries that never refined a barrel of crude would have left the Nigerian remain captive as wailing wailer. We remind them that the Nigerian is still gasping for breath from the May 11, 2016 green monkey disease of almost 70 percent price increase of PMS in the modulation regime. They still remind us about crude cost from imported products when there is no cracking from any Nigerian refinery. From extensive works on petroleum economics we know what the FOB Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (Platts) Futures PMS Data is up to 2017. Cracking margins (profit and loss) of a refinery are determined by the cost of crude, refining, taxes and distribution and marketing costs.

From the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency’s Template of May 11, 2016 we are paying for a litre of PMS (petrol) Cost Freight N109.05; Lightering Expenses N4.56; NPA charge N0.84; NIMASA charge N0.22; Financing N2.51; Jetty through put charge N0.60; Storage charge N2.00; make up the landing cost of N119.78. With total margins (Retailers N6.00, Transporters Allowance N3.36, Dealers N2.36, Bridging Fund N6.20, Marine Transport Average N0.15, Admin Charge N0.30) of N18.37 adds up to N138.15 as total cost. The NNPC allocated a retail price band expected open market price (OMP) of N135-N145.

Observers believe it was ineptitude of the monetary and fiscal authorities to allow the May 2016 petroleum products price increase by 67 percent when they are imported. Again the currency was devalued and exchange rate floated between 52.28 and 77.66 when we cannot manufacture for export. The price increase which tended to be a boon for government to raise fund for the 2016 budget implementation however put the government in a desperate situation that the economy is sliding from recession to depression.

Until we stop importation Nigeria will continue to struggle to generate foreign exchange liquidity from low priced crude to purchase petroleum products in glutted markets. Applying the neo-liberal economic model in Nigeria’s petroleum without refining is dwelling in the past. What we need now is ingenuity to assist government with solutions and reduce Baru’s task. India liberalized her petroleum industry in 1991 after the end of the cold war. The government reorganized the National Oil Company into public limited companies; the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). The ONGC holds about 77 percent of oil and 81 percent of gas production. It has acquired shares in exploration ventures in many countries including Nigeria where it has Blocks OPL 279, OPL 285 and Block-2. India has 11 of 23 India refineries with a combined refining capacity of almost 2.0million barrels per day. The NOC is ranked 17th of oil companies in the world. As a net importer of oil India still subsidised petroleum products in 2016.

Out of the 745 operable refineries in the world, the four in Nigeria with a combined refining capacity of 445,000 barrels per day are dead. The oldest in Port Harcourt was built in 1965 and the newest still in Port Harcourt was built in 1989. Warri and Kaduna refineries came on stream in 1978 and 1980 respectively; they have for almost two decades been down without maintenance. The wholly owned petrochemical plant built in 1990 was mismanaged and sold in August 2006. The investors that bought the facility only did turnaround maintenance and invited us to the commissioning on October 12, 2006. They now export Ethylene and Propylene. The world’s oldest refinery of 116 years in India is still refining products for Indians.

Our fairly new process plants (refineries and petrochemicals), the oldest of 51 years became aged infrastructure. President Muhammadu Buhari who was the first Chairman of the NNPC should not allow this to continue. Under his watch we still continued to dwell on crude export which was started in 1958 when the first ship laden with 5000 barrels of crude set sail for a refinery in Europe.

I will continue to drum it that there are up to 6000 byproducts and derivative when we refine a barrel of crude. Value additions in the industry are strategic for energy, technology and skills. The benefits of local refining are that we have many products, diversify the economy along vertical linkages, create wealth, induce savings and investments, create employment, increased GDP and increased revenue.

The law establishing the NNPC was enacted on the 1st of April 1977 by the then General Olusegun Obasanjo administration. NNPC was for refining, treating, processing and generally engaging in the handling of petroleum for the manufacture and production of petroleum products and its derivatives. The national oil company was reduced to a marketing company importing and distributing petroleum products. Our former petroleum chief’s advice would have been on downstream investments and strategic relationships with partners, refinery operations transformation and profitability rather than stoutly dwell on imported products price increases and NAPIMS control.

President Buhari needs assistance and we must all patriotically do so for Nigeria.

Administrators urged on teachers' training for effective delivery

Chief Executive Officer, Brooke House Educational Consult Limited, Lagos, Ifueko Thomas, has urged school administrators to ensure adequate training and retraining of teachers, adding that the knowledge of students is directly proportional to their teachers.

She said: “Teachers must be regularly trained and motivated to apply 21st century teaching skills as only when this strategy is deployed can Nigeria, as a country hope to benefit from the set standard and harness goals of education.”

Thomas who spoke with journalists at the school’s open day said that with a mission to learn, lead, succeed, the school is determined to set in motion a quality cultural reorientation that would spur the pupils to be proud of their heritage.

She said that the objective of establishing the school’s crèche, nursery, primary and afterschool centres, is to raise a new generation of intellectually astute leaders, with high moral and ethical values. Thomas, who posited that Nigeria’s educational curriculum is very rich in content, added that it is among the best in the world. She explained that the curriculum is well loaded academically, morally adding that the challenge is in the quality of its delivery. ‘’The standard has been set already, but meeting the set standard by schools is the challenge,’’ she said.

She maintained: “We will achieve this by encouraging an eclectic curriculum that ensures the accommodation of each child’s individual learning preferences. Brook House lessons, which will be founded on the nine-year basic education curriculum, will incorporate aspects of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), the Montessori and High Scope Programme and the Reggio Emilia Approach.”

According to her, the school is committed to the highest standards of health, safety and care of the children, adding that its goal of promoting effective teaching practices leading to increased student learning and performance would place it in a unique position to provide an unmatched learning experience for the children.

LASG to demolish shanties on island after sallah

Osapa,Lakki
Lagos—FOLLOWING yesterday’s mudslide that left one woman dead and several injured, the Lagos State Special Committee on Clean-Up of Ikoyi, Lekki, and Victoria Island has ordered illegal occupants on prohibited spaces to vacate immediately. The state government said it has concluded plans to commence enforcement of the State’s Environmental Sanitation and Town Planning laws in the affected areas after the Sallah holidays. It will be recalled that Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos had on August 30th, inaugurated a 15-man special committee charged with the responsibility of cleaning-up the axis of the state and enforce the original masterplan after several years of its abandonment.

Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tunji Bello, who doubles as chairman of the Committee, gave the directive, yesterday. Bello said “the measure has become necessary following the expiration of the 14 day ultimatum issued to all owners of illegal structures, owners of abandoned buildings currently harbouring prostitutes, shanties, street hawkers and those who have converted walkways into trading points and food courts in the affected areas. “The 14 days ultimatum which expires on Sunday, September 11, 2016 was given to the owners of such illegal structures to dismantle them voluntarily and relocate failure of which will attract arrest and prosecution. “Therefore, the committee decided to embark on sensitization campaign to allow owners of such illegal structures enough grace to willingly pull down such structures themselves before the government pulls them down and also prosecute owners of such structures. “Every modality has been put in place to ensure that the original master plan of Ikoyi, Lekki, and Victoria Island as envisioned by the founding fathers is maintained.

“The committee is poised to discharge the responsibilities vested in it which includes: Immediately commencing the implementation of the approved action plan and execution of the clean-up exercise; develop strategies for preventing re-occurrences as well as other recommendations as necessary to sustain environmental renewal of these areas; and embark on a public sensitization exercise for the sustenance of a cleaner community in the axis.”

On the quest to have a safe, clean and prosperous Lagos, Bello stressed, “It is not negotiable as the present administration is committed to ensuring a cessation of the continuation of the environmental infractions being witnessed in Ikoyi, Lekki, Victoria Island.”

He therefore, advised owners of such illegal structures who may still be sitting on the fence or nursing the hope that the state government would have a rethink on the exercise to make use of the window offered to them now or face the full force of the law.

SPORTS: Antonio Conte hands Mikel Obi free role

Captain of the Super Eagles, John Obi Mikel has been handed a new role by coach of Chelsea Antonio Conte. Mikel, who is presently Chelsea’s second longest serving player in the squad has been juggling with two different roles. He plays as a defensive midfielder for Chelsea but plays in a more advanced role for Nigeria.

We gathered Conte has decided to hand him same role as he plays in the Nigeria national team as part of the sweetener, he wants to use in luring the 29 year old to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge. Conte signed N’Golo Kante for the role Mikel has been alternating with Nemanja Matic, raising doubts about the chances of the Nigerian getting to play games for the team this season, but we gathered that talks were held during the week, where Mikel was promised a role same as the one he plays for the Nigeria national team.

“Mikel and Conte had a chat about his role in the team, although he has been assured he will be played in the role that suits him the more by the manager. He is also ready to fill in anywhere he is needed for the team”, a source close to the player said.

NIGERIA TO BE OUT OF ECONOMIC PROBLEM SOON:PRR-Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday in Benin, the Edo State capital, announced that the country would soon be out of its economic problems. Addressing a crowd of All Progressives Congress (APC) faithful during the party’s grand finale campaign rally for Saturday’s election, the President also disclosed that the country was almost out of its security problem. He assured that citizens would be proud of their country again as a great nation. He described the Edo APC candidate, Mr. Godwin Obaseki as a seasoned man and urged Edo people to vote for him to ensure the continued development of the state. “I congratulate Obaseki and I recommend him to you; he is a seasoned man so that you will continue to grow in Edo State. You have a credible team, you better hold them tight and ensure that Obaseki succeeds, “ he added. President Buhari, who earlier visited the Benin Crown Prince and the Edaiken N’Uselu, Eheneden Erediauwa, in his palace at Uselu, paid glowing tribute to the late Oba of Benin, Oba Erediauwa, describing him as “a man with great integrity and there is no doubt that there is hardly any traditional ruler which is foremost and forthright like him.” He added: “Today, I visited the Edaiken of Benin. Edo people are lucky because as long as Nigeria exist, we will continue to play our role in stabilizing Nigeria. We are a nation of great human and material resources especially the youths. Please sit down and reflect and remember what I said 30 years ago that there is no other nation like Nigeria. We will remain one together because no matter where you go, the colour of your skin will be a problem for you”. The President while commending Oshiomhole for his performance said: “Oshiomhole has reminded you what we have gone through since 1999-2015. I am pleased to be here and I am grateful to Governor Oshiomhole for inviting me, to identify with him in rehabilitating schools, build roads, hospitals, we have seen development more than what it used to be when Edo State was created”. National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, while presenting the candidate, Obaseki and his running mate, Philip Shaibu, said the face of Edo State had been dramatically transformed in the last seven and half years and urged the people to vote for Obaseki, who he described as the “best man to take over from Oshiomhole”. Addressing the rally, Mr. Obaseki promised to build and improve on Oshiomhole’s legacy, promissing to create at least 200,000 jobs in his first four years in office. In his speech, Oshiomhole urged Edo people to vote for Obaseki to consolidate on his achievements and bring more development to the state. Earlier, the Chairman of APC National Campaign Council and Governor of Lagos State, Akinwumi Ambode, urged Edo voters to vote for Obaseki to ensure continuity of development and prosperity as Lagos was currently witnessing. The rally was attended by APC governors of Sokoto, Kaduna, Adamawa, Kogi, Niger, Plateau, Kebbi and Jigawa states, while Ogun and Benue states were represented by their deputy governor. Also in attendance were federal lawmakers, ministers and leadership of the APC at National and states’ llevels source: sunnewsonline.com

HUNGER IN NIGERIA WILL LAST FOR A WHILE, says minister Audu ogbeh

Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh said yesterday, that hunger in the country will last more than expected. Ogbeh said this when he inspected the Ebonyi State Government Demonstration Farm in Ezillo during operation ‘One man, one hectare’ agricultural programme initiated to boost agriculture in the state. Ogbeh added that the country could still swim out of hunger and want if it pursued with determination the virtue of hardwork.

He blamed the past administration of former president Goodluck Jonathan for depending on importation and crude oil exploration, which he said, caused hunger in the country. “Past administrations in the country depended wholly on oil and resorted to massive importation. “The country imported virtually every item; from toothpicks to palm produce but, the country doesn’t have money again to import,” he said. He noted that the Federal Government has decided to go into massive production with much emphasis on agriculture.

“The hunger in the land might last for a while, but soon, there will be enough food in the country and also for export.”

He advised politicians to have a ‘second address’ because political office can end abruptly while they can peacefully go into farming. “Government will provide machines for Ebonyi State for the harvesting of rice and other farm produce and those to prepare crop nursery before planting. “The Federal Government will inaugurate dams in all states of the country in the next two years, to ensure all year farming activities.” He noted that wrong application of fertilisers can destroy soil nutrients and ultimately, cause poor yield of crops.

Governor David Umahi noted that the state was into agricultural revolution to make its economy self-sufficient. “All political office holders in the executive and legislature have farmlands in this demonstration farm as the programme would be the order of the day in the state. “We want to excel in palm produce sector as we have done in rice production, as we are going to plant the produce at 10 metres of verges of roads in state and federal roads.” He added that all citizens of the state would cultivate at least one hectare because the government did not want any land to lie fallow.

SON DECRIES QUALITY COMPROMISE BY CONCRETE MANUFACTURES

The Director and Head of SON in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Bath Okoko, gave the caution on Tuesday at a meeting with Concrete Manufacturers Association.

He attributed the recent cases of building collapse in the FCT to quacks who have infiltrated the concrete manufacturing industry.

Mr Okoko, who represented the Director General of SON, vowed that the government would henceforth, go after producers of sub-standard concrete products.

The caution comes barely two weeks after a four-storey building under construction collapsed in the early hours of Monday, August 29, in the Gwarinpa District of Abuja.

After a search and rescue operation that lasted all through the night after six persons had been rescued, two construction workers trapped in the building were found dead the following day.

The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, had frowned at builders who mix cement on building sites without technical supervision when he visited the site.

While he said investigation had commenced, Mr Fashola cited unprofessionalism and poor quality of materials as likely reasons for the collapse.

A big problem needed to be solved in the search for success

If you are really looking forward to being a successful man or woman then you should consider this important, when I was much younger one of my cousin (older) told me something he said "it's better to prepare for something(maybe a chance) and it never came, than for it to come and you are not prepared".

Hmmm today as I was thinking about some things I remembered it and it lead me to something, many people has failed in their quest because they overlooked so obstacles that may surface in the present, and if by any means it comes,it pulls them down. OK now lets learn from the animal (rabbit) when it makes it's hole( the house) no matter how save that place may look,or may even be it most still make an escaping root for itself.

So you see? I know, yes ,that one should not run when no one is chasing him or her(because of fear) but my dear reader taking a preventing measures towards a forecasted obstacle or having a plan B in case of changes is not running because Of fear, but it' s wisdom. We are human and changes may occur at any time so making room for changes is the best. Do you know that some people is not affected by the present Nigerian economy(even if affected, but not immediately) because they saved something that may save them in times like this.

It may be better to have it in mind that nothing is 'too small or too big but just the right plans' so as you make your plans to crab success, don't forget to include a plan B and before that, make good research about whatever you are about doing, to be notified of the challenges you may face in the future, then make a room for changes (I call it "who knows") but never let impending danger scare you away from your aim but just make good plans for it, and be determined, you will surely scale through.

This opportunity has been in existence for a long time coming now in Nigeria. I have registered on this platform since 2013 and I can assure you of its genuity. Its called WEALTH POWER powered by remenk computers Which brings us to the main reason why we are here. CROWD FUNDING THROUGH NETWORKING. Most of us that are internet savvy are probably used to crowd funding sites like kickstarter which is very popular in Europe to launch new businesses, whereby people donate for you to run your business, its not yet popular in Nigeria, but there is a way we can all adopt this concept in very simple steps through the opportunity I will be sharing with us all shortly That is a pictorial representation of my explanations This program costs just #2000 worth of investment which will be used to buy your pin for registration. ALL YOU NEED IS JUST 2 PEOPLE AND YOU START EARNING. Your first downline is your qualifier, you earn nothing from them, your 2nd downline earns u 1k. The first downline that your 2nd downline reg earns u another 1k. Also the first downline that this person will reg earns u 1k. U keep earning 1k on all first downlines registered by your direct downlines from generation to generation. The more the direct downlines u av, d more ur passive earnings. How Does It Work? After Registration, refer minimum of two people. You earn your first N1,000 from the second person you referred. The first person, being your qualifier, cannot earn you money. When your second downline refers one person, you earn another N1,000 and the first person referred by this new downline will earn you another N1,000 and the trend continues like that from every first, first, first ...etc When do I get my money? We Pay Every member Once a Week(Every Friday, “Happy Friday”). We pay directly into your bank account following your withdrawal request. How Do I Pay and Get a Registration PIN?
